Till date, the smallest (and cheapest) vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz line-up in India was the C-Class, but internationally, they have a couple of smaller models as well. Today, Mercedes revealed one of them, the B-Class, which will be launched later in the year and will slot in under the C-Class, at the Buddh International circuit.
With falling sales and their other German rivals taking Mercedes' marketshare, the B-Class is the first line of defence for Mercedes. The B-Class is a large hatchback which is positioned as a sports tourer for the adventure seeking youth. It will come with a choice of petrol and diesel engines with manual and dual-clutch automatic transmission options available. The exact engines aren't known yet, but you can bet they will not disappoint.
When it does launch here, expect it to be priced in the Rs 25 Lakh range.
You can take an up close look at the car at any of the Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the country starting this week.
